Ingredients
  

Liquids
  • 2 cups fresh lemon juice Use fresh lemons for best flavor.
  • 1 cup water
Sweeteners
  • 1 cup granulated sugar Ensure sugar is fully dissolved.
Herbs
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves
Zest
  • Zest of 2 lemons lemon zest
Seasoning
  • pinch salt

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a saucepan, combine water and sugar over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Remove from heat and add lemon juice, lemon zest, and basil leaves to the mixture.
  3. Allow the mixture to cool, then strain to remove the basil leaves.
Freezing
  1. Pour the mixture into a shallow dish and freeze for about 2-3 hours, stirring every 30 minutes with a fork to break up any ice crystals.
  2. Once it reaches a sorbet consistency, serve in bowls and enjoy!

Notes
